Who we are

ScubaDiveIn is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort at Beach No 1, Govind Nagar, Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), Andaman and Nicobar Islands 744211, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit scubadivein.com, contact us or dive with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

When you contact us

Most enquiries reach us through WhatsApp, phone or email. When you contact us we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, certification level and questions about diving.

• We use these details only to answer your enquiry, plan your diving and manage your booking.
• WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as this one.
• We do not add you to a mailing list or send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

When you take a PADI course

To train and certify you, PADI standards require us to collect and keep certain records, including your full name, date of birth, contact details, a photograph for your certification card, your completed Diver Medical Questionnaire and signed liability and training forms.

• We share your name, date of birth, contact details, photograph and course records with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) so they can register and issue your certification. PADI handles that data under its own privacy policy.
• Your medical questionnaire is used only to confirm you are fit to dive, and, if a physician's sign-off is needed, shared with you and that physician. It is not shared with anyone else.
• Training records are kept for as long as PADI standards and Indian law require us to keep them.

When you visit this website

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how far people scroll, and which buttons (such as WhatsApp, call or email) are clicked. This uses cookies and similar technologies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the page that referred you. It does not tell us who you are.

• Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

Your cookie choices

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies before any are set. Until you choose Accept all, Google Analytics and any advertising tags run in a restricted mode that sets no cookies on your device, and neither Microsoft Clarity nor the Meta Pixel loads at all. Choosing Essential only keeps it that way. We also treat a browser's Global Privacy Control signal as a request to be asked first.

Elsewhere, including in India, these cookies are used from your first visit, as local law permits. You can switch them off at any time by opening Cookie settings, linked at the bottom of every page, and choosing Essential only.

When analytics cookies are allowed, we also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the site through heatmaps and anonymised session recordings: where people click, how far they scroll and where they get stuck. Clarity masks text you type into forms and does not record personal details such as names or phone numbers. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time from Cookie settings.

The map on our homepage is provided by Google Maps and loads only when you select Show the map. Google may set its own cookies when it does.

Advertising

We advertise on Instagram and Facebook. When advertising cookies are allowed (see Your cookie choices), we use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited this site; when you tap a WhatsApp, phone or email link we tell Meta that an enquiry happened, without sending your message or contact details. We may also add the Google Ads tag in the same way. These tools use cookies to recognise your browser across websites. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google ad settings and Meta ad preferences. We will update this section if we start or stop using them.

If you reach this site from one of our Google, Instagram or Facebook ads and advertising cookies are allowed, we give your visit a short reference code, such as SD-4F7K2, keep it in your browser for 90 days, and save it with the ad's click identifier, the campaign and the pages you visit. The code is added to the message our WhatsApp buttons pre-fill for you. When a message with a code reaches our WhatsApp, or you message us from a click-to-WhatsApp ad, we save your WhatsApp number and profile name with that code; we do not store the messages themselves. If you book, we link the booking to the code, so we can see which ads lead to bookings, and we may tell Google or Meta that the ad resulted in a booking and its value. You can delete the code from your message before you send it.

When you pay a booking advance

If you pay a booking advance on this website, the payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive your name, phone number, email address, the activity, date and number of people you booked, and the payment reference. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details; Razorpay handles those under the Razorpay Privacy Policy. We use these details to confirm and run your booking, and keep payment records for as long as Indian tax law requires.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with PADI for certification, with the service providers described above (Google, Meta, WhatsApp and Razorpay) under their own terms, and with authorities or emergency services when the law or your safety requires it.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to access, correct or erase the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. If you live in the European Union or United Kingdom you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Some records, such as certification and safety paperwork, may have to be kept even after you ask us to delete your data, because PADI standards or the law require it. We will tell you if that applies.

Children

Programmes such as Bubblemaker and junior certifications are open to children. We collect a child's information only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who signs the course paperwork on the child's behalf.
