Who we are

ScubaDiveIn is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort at Beach No 1, Govind Nagar, Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), Andaman and Nicobar Islands 744211, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit scubadivein.com, contact us or dive with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

When you contact us

Most enquiries reach us through WhatsApp, phone or email. When you contact us we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, certification level and questions about diving.

• We use these details only to answer your enquiry, plan your diving and manage your booking.
• WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as this one.
• We do not add you to a mailing list or send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

When you take a PADI course

To train and certify you, PADI standards require us to collect and keep certain records, including your full name, date of birth, contact details, a photograph for your certification card, your completed Diver Medical Questionnaire and signed liability and training forms.

• We share your name, date of birth, contact details, photograph and course records with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) so they can register and issue your certification. PADI handles that data under its own privacy policy.
• Your medical questionnaire is used only to confirm you are fit to dive, and, if a physician's sign-off is needed, shared with you and that physician. It is not shared with anyone else.
• Training records are kept for as long as PADI standards and Indian law require us to keep them.

When you visit this website

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how far people scroll, and which buttons (such as WhatsApp, call or email) are clicked. This uses cookies and similar technologies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the page that referred you. It does not tell us who you are.

• Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We may advertise on Google, Facebook and Instagram. If we do, we may use the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. These tools use cookies to recognise your browser across websites. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google ad settings and Meta ad preferences. We will update this section if we start or stop using them.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with PADI for certification, with the service providers described above (Google, Meta and WhatsApp) under their own terms, and with authorities or emergency services when the law or your safety requires it.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to access, correct or erase the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. If you live in the European Union or United Kingdom you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Some records, such as certification and safety paperwork, may have to be kept even after you ask us to delete your data, because PADI standards or the law require it. We will tell you if that applies.

Children

Programmes such as Bubblemaker and junior certifications are open to children. We collect a child's information only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who signs the course paperwork on the child's behalf.
